Design & bespoke WordPress theme
CO2balance needed a website refresh to help showcase the Corporate Social Responsibility projects they run in Africa. Their existing website was difficult to update and they had a separate WordPress blog which made administration very disjointed.
The solution was to create a bespoke WordPress theme bringing the main site and blog under one roof. I began by modernising the logo, laying out wireframes of the main pages, expanding their brand colours and producing some design layouts so that they could see the essential elements before we went into the build phase.
Advanced Custom Fields were used to set up the projects content type. They can now enter the data they need to easily set up new projects in the future. Blog posts are written under the same administration area, streamlining processes.
The main challenge of the project was overcoming hosting issues. Their existing host was using an outdated version of PHP and was unable to bring it up to date. I advised on alternative hosting and helped to migrate the site. It now runs on the latest version and is optimised for security and speed.
Client Review
Following a recommendation and having seen some of her previous work, we asked Rebecca to completely re-design our website. It was a pleasure working with her, right from our initial meeting through to the launch of the website.
Rebecca really took time to understand our business and managed to make our vision a reality. We were very impressed by her professional approach, flexibility and openness to our ideas and feedback throughout the process.
The design and functionality of the website were exactly what we were hoping to achieve, and we have received lots of great feedback from our partners and clients. All in all, we had a great experience working with Rebecca and would highly recommend her for any web-design work.
